Blue green algae surfaced to once again to scupper the Luckhurst family's Andean Trophy race (the race also lost out two years ago)

We sadly missed out on the opportunity to compete for the enjoyment of the marvellous produce from the Garden of England (i.e. John and Linda's back yard) presented as prizes for the 800m (880 yard) race.

The race would have been the third of the four race Emmi Hunte series - February 50m, March 100m, August 800m, October 100m.

An "Andean Project" event first appeared on the club calendar in 1987

The Luckhurst family took over sponsorship of the Andean Trophy race from Ian Stuttard in 2017.
