Congratulations, again, to serial winner Eric Carter who won the 2024 Emmi Hunte series. The races concluded on Saturday 19 October, with an overall win for Eric, and a race day win for Heather Miller.
Wet conditions not optional

This race series used to be known as the Daily Telegraph series, but as Alan Mitchell, another former club president pointed out, they moved away from sponsoring just as the hordes started to be attracted to outdoor swimming. Thankfully, Emmi, a two-time winner of a Serps swimming race on Christmas Day, stepped in.

No stranger to winning trophies, Eric is famed for having one of the longest mantelpieces in London, perfect for all the trophies and medals our former Club President continues to win.

And chapeau to Emi for her great buns, which were loved by all.

Topo was part of celebrations, and being a keen chess player, he could probably let you know that, the first few early versions of chess were just drafts.
