The water was very cold; 33oF and was very bracing. Unfortunately there was no ice so we had to swim the entire distance!
Pippa Durrant missed her mark, and then decided only to swim 5m; shameful. She did however make up for it on Sunday with a swim in the snow in Dover Harbour.
That evening, Nick Adams, Pippa Durrant, The WaterBabes, The Murphys, James Scott, Mark Rosenburg and a few other Serps members went to the Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation Dinner in Dover.
The filthy Dover nightclub (se two bottom photos below) was enjoyed by a few of us, and we all enjoyed the swim in the sea the next day.
