The water was 43oF and was quite nippy. Ron Whittam was very tactical, and wasted time on the board, whilst Emie was getting colder by waiting in the water for the start!
The Christmas Party was held at Imperial College's Holland Club, near the Serpentine.
Norman and Lorraine Jones organised the event with military precision, and spent a lot of time making sure that everyone would have a good time.
Prizes were awarded to certain swimmers, there was a varied selection of music, much excellent food was consumed (Anna's desserts were much appreciated amongst others).
Swimmers danced for hours, and most enjoyably Tony Cuthbert led the club into a singing frenzy with what might become the Club Anthem!
