Huge congratulations to Rose Lewis who successfully swam the length of Lake Windermere on Tuesday 24 July.
This Serpentine Swimming Lady, Windermere's fan for sure, had to battle hot sultry conditions and tepid water as she made her way along England's longest lake to bag the successful swim.
Rose set off early this morning, but near midway the proper tea professional was in a real estate. Luckily, the young Surveyor ground out the bitterness and overcame o mile after mile to swim to the finish.
For non Imperial lengths, Rose swam 17kms non stop, surely a strainer for most of us, but not for her.
Rose was celebrating her five year sojourn in London, and used the event to raise funds for her chosen charitea, the RNLI.
You can donate a large or a small assam here if you wish to support the RNLI.
Great swimming Rose. Congratulations, you nailed it, to a T.
