There were two races this Saturday. The first was only open to swimmers over 50; the veterans race, and this was won by the youthful Ian Stuttard who squeezed into the half century plus race.
The main 440 yard race was won by Bill Deeley, who had learnt from Tony Cuthbert last Saturday and showed unnatural improvement to win some silverware! Nice hips Bill. The water was a balmy 57oF.
When the swimmers arrived there were dozens of art students posing for a group photo in the Serps.
Some found it a little nippy.
