'Wishbone' has his last walk at the Serps

Anne MacAlpine's Jack Russell terrier Wishbone (14) had his last walk at the Serpentine on Saturday morning. Although a cold and miserable morning he walked from the car park to the Lido (with Anne on her crutches) and smelt every blade of grass, every stone, every plant and every other dog. He ate his usual biscuits at the clubhouse, had a few good strokes and a ticking off for trying to pee on somebody’s rucksack. Wishbone passed away quietly in the early hours of Sunday morning. An ever present character, Wishbone will be sadly missed.
