Peter joined the club as an 18 year old in 1967, arriving at the lake in his racing green Mini Cooper.  Peter has served as the club’s vice captain since 1971 and has represented the club for many decades in various long distance swimming events from Torbay to Loch Ness.  He has swum the four British “great lakes”:  Coniston, Loch Lomond, Loch Ness and Windermere.  In fact Peter has completed the Windermere swim a record fifty times.  Follow this link to the report of his 50^th swim:  http://serpentineswimmingclub.com/events/337/peter-larrad-makes-50/
