Nothing Great is Easy

Congratulations on a super swim by Serpentine swimmer Vandita Dhariyal, to become an English Channel solo swimmer.

It was on 21 August 2017, that Vandita successfully completed the swim in 13 hours and ten minutes. Her team included boat pilot Simon Ellis, who steered Sea Farer II all the way to France.

This swim was longer than many of Vandita’s previous swims, including the World Championships in Rome 2009, where representing India, she finished in 22nd place in the 4x200m relay. We are delighted to have Vandita as a member of Serpentine SC.
