Thankfully the weather chaps got it wrong, and the miserable weather they'd forecast was replaced with a stunning, blue-skyed morning.

There were fewer teams at the gala this year, only five including Team Serps.  In each event there were three age groups, under 40's, over 60's and then those in the middle.

Sadly we came third, narrowly being beaten by the South London Swimming Club.  Team "Out to Swim" were very strong, and came first easily.

We took great pride in destroying the opposition in the 10-swimmer squadron race at the end; a true test of depth in any team!
